Learning of the dearth of books on Florida history aimed at fourth graders, she began writing biographies of Floridians who lived fascinating, inspirational lives. I enjoyed this short biography and will be assigning it to my history students. It's an excellent detailed overview of two important colonial-era scientists who I had not heard of until recently. I'm glad to have discovered this and it has sparked my interest in reading a longer adult-length biography.
